Document Tables in Query Editor

Add a Table to Workbench

Use the Documentation task to document tables from the Query Editor. Add tables that you want to document to the workbench. Click on the "Documentation" task and press send to start the workflow.

If you have more than one table to document, ask Athena to document the next one once it's done with the first. Athena defaults to documenting one table per request to maximize quality.

Save the documentation to a Report

Open a new report by clicking "Pivot to" -> Reports -> New.

Transfer documentation to a report.

Copy the report link -> go to Datasets -> paste the link in the documentation field to save.
