Run Tasks in Query Editor

You can use preconfigured copilot tasks like "Documentation" to have Athena execute an SQL workflow using items placed on Workbench.

To run a task, choose one in the sidebar chat above the input field. When you click on a task, the input field will be prefilled with a task description prompt.

Make sure to add relevant tables and query snippets to Workbench by clicking on them. In the Query Editor, Athena has access only to the items that are placed on workbench.

Some tasks have placeholders like <insert your question here>. Replace a placeholder with your question and click send.

Once Athena completes a task, you can use the output to run SQL code in the editor pane, get results, and have Athena complete follow-up tasks.
