Leverage your cubes, measurements, and dimensions in Athena by connecting with Cube Cloud.

What can you do?

  • Use metrics and performance indicators defined in Cube for analyses and reports generated with Athena.

  • Generate and enhance insights using AI-driven automations on top of Cube Semantic Layer.

  • Query Cube cubes and views from Athena apps: Sheets, Query Editor, Chat, and Flows.

Prerequisites

  • You'll need a project set up in Cube Cloud to connect Athena with Cube.

Guidelines

Step-by-step
  1. Retrieve the REST API Endpoint from Cube Cloud

    Copy the REST API endpoint, which can be found on the Cube Cloud Overview page or by navigating to Integrations -> API Credentials -> REST API. Get the Endpoint.

  2. Retrieve an API Token from Cube Cloud

    Copy the authorization token, which can be found on the same Cube Cloud Overview page under Integrations -> API Credentials -> REST API. Get the entire API token starting after the keyword Authorization.

  3. Configure the connection in Athena

    Navigate to Sheets

  4. Set up the values for parameters
    Click on Query Builder. Set up the parameters API URL (the REST API endpoint which can be found on the Overview page or in Integrations) and API Key (the authorization token can be found in the header of a valid REST API request)

  5. Validate the Connection

    Click on Validate Connection, and you're all set!
